The world’s best surf lifesavers will converge on the Sunshine Coast this October to test their capabilities in long distance events such as ocean swimming, board paddling, surf ski paddling, surf boat rowing and beach running.

As a lead into the summer of Surf Sports “sprint season” the 2009 Queensland State Endurance Championships will cater for age groups as young as Under 11 up to Masters Athletes 70+.

Surf Life Saving Queensland is looking forward to relaunching the State Endurance Championships for the first time in quite a few years to offer surf lifesavers from throughout Queensland, Australia and overseas the opportunity to test their fitness levels early in the season for a prized Queensland State Championship medal.

Trophies will be presented on the day to all placegetters in all age groups.
